Dog description

Frankie is a sweet, goofy boy. He loves his family and likes to be near them whenever he can. He is quite suspicious of strangers and generally does not like many humans. He warms up when a person relaxes and he can sniff them out and get a gauge on them. He is quite the crooner like his name sake. He loves short walks and vacay with his family. His favorite treats are any that are offered. That being said, cucumbers and watermelon are some tasty treats he loves. He loves being pet by people he trusts and will let them know that he is not finished getting love by sweetly mouthing their hand for more pets. He shares his home with his fur sister-from another mister, and his 2 moms. His family loves him so very much and we are so glad he was rescued and lives in our home with us.

Dog summary

Does best

He is the best crooner. Howling is his forte!

Fun Story

The day I met Frank, I knew. I knew that he would be part of our family and I would do everything in my power to make him comfortable. When I met Frank, he was at his Foster parents house, among other dogs. As I walked in the house, he woofed at me. I could tell he was nervous, so I sat down. He continued to reluctantly woof at me, creeping closer and closer. Until finally, he began to sniff me. I didn't move, for if I did I knew I would startle him. His Foster parent and I decided perhaps he should meet his potential sister, Harriet. Harriet is a sweet, Flat-coated Retriever. The seemed to instantly get along. But Frank would have to wait to be taken to his forever home. I wanted to see how he would be at our house. His Foster parent and I agreed on another meet up. This time at his potential home. When the day arrived, I was ecstatic. I knew I would have to decide today if Frank would be a good fit. As he arrived, I met him outside. Again, he woofed, apprehensive to approach me. I sat on th grass and he began to smell me. His Foster parent brought him to the backyard to play with his potential sister. They seemed to remember each other and played a bit. I knew Frankie was home. It felt right. We adopted Frank that day and I feel so lucky to have been able to meet him and call him my son.
