Dog description

Keeva came to us through a rescue group where they found her mom while pregnant. She is very active (pulls a sled in winter) and loves her people. She doesn’t like other dogs much, other then our older dog Bagby. She’s very prey driven and stubborn, but can be trained. Her favourite treat is cheese (and she knows that word!). She gets walked about an hour a day. She likes to dig, so probably could have more walking time!

Dog summary

4 year old Shepard/Husky mix that pulls sleds!

Quirk

She loves couches and beds and will jump off as soon as she hears us coming.

Does best

Running and pulling sleds! She’s like the wind!!

Fun Story

When Keeva was 2 we took her to a home where husky’s pull sleds to see if she would like it. We attached her to a sled and hoped she would follow their lead dog in another sled. We drove alongside on a 4-wheeler to also encourage her to come along. She passed their fastest dog and the 4-wheeler and just kept pulling my son for the longest time! That’s when we knew her happy place was pulling sleds, even though she’s just half husky! She gets so excited when we pull out the sled, and snow on the ground is an exciting time here!
