    Will our dog’s DNA ever be used for cloning?

    We have not intentions or plans to ever use the DNA for cloning.

    Nothing to worry about Jennifer. Cloning by current technology requires live cells from the donor, and can not be done with just a DNA sample.

    I might add though, that cloning would be a powerful tool to explore canine genomics. Studying dog clones could reveal the heritability index of various traits, as it has been done with humans.
